Privacy Policy

Controller: Next Issue / Maxim Osovsky. This independent project is not affiliated with any postal administration.

Data collected: email address, recipient name, postal address, selected paid support vote + thank-you postcard tier, proposal details, Wikidata/Flickr links supplied by the proposer, and basic technical data needed to run the site.

Purpose: to process paid support votes or portrait proposals, prepare the paid support vote + thank-you postcard communication, check submitted image/license data, prevent abuse, and contact supporters about Issue Nº 1.

Processors and services: Vercel hosts the page; Stripe is intended for payment processing; Photon/Komoot provides address suggestions; Wikidata and Flickr are used to load public proposal metadata; Google Fonts and public image/CDN services may load page assets.

Retention: supporter and delivery details are kept only as long as needed to process the vote/proposal, prepare fulfilment, handle refunds/disputes, and keep minimal accounting/support records. You can request deletion where legally possible.

Your rights: depending on your country, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, portability, and withdrawal of consent. Use the contact section below.

Notice at Collection: when you enter your email, recipient name, postal address, vote amount, or proposal links, we use that information to process your paid support vote + thank-you postcard or proposal, handle refunds/support, and send the thank-you postcard after Issue Nº 1 is produced, usually within 3–6 months after production starts.

US Privacy Rights: if an applicable US state privacy law gives you rights to know/access, delete, correct, port, opt out, appeal, or use an authorized agent, contact us through the contact section. We may verify the request before acting and will respond as required by applicable law.

Do Not Sell or Share / GPC: you can opt out of sale, sharing, targeted advertising, and cross-context behavioral advertising through this section. We treat Global Privacy Control as an opt-out preference signal where required and keep a local browser opt-out flag for this site.

Email policy: we may send transactional messages about your vote, proposal, payment, refund, or postcard delivery. We will not send marketing emails unless you opt in; any marketing email will include an unsubscribe option.

Terms of Sale / Project Terms

€15 is a paid support vote + thank-you postcard for the next issue, featuring the selected stamp concept after the issue is produced, usually within 3–6 months after production starts. It is not a charitable donation, not a purchase of a full stamp sheet, and not a direct order from any postal administration.

• Only paid votes count toward the project ranking and funding target.
• A €99 proposal submits a portrait candidate for review; it does not guarantee publication, printing, or acceptance.
• Portraits and submitted images must have verifiable open-license source information before print review.
• The project may reject proposals that cannot be legally or technically used, including unclear image rights or unsuitable source material.
• Postal suppliers shown on the page are external services; users who want full stamp sheets should order directly from official postal services.

Refund / Cancellation Policy

For live Stripe payments, refund requests should be made through the contact route below. The policy is designed for a paid support vote + thank-you postcard, not for a full stamp-sheet order.

• Accidental payments can be refunded if requested within 14 days and before postcard/fulfilment preparation begins.
• After a postcard/order has been prepared for fulfilment, refunds may be limited unless required by applicable law.
• If Issue Nº 1 is cancelled or cannot be produced, supporter payments connected to unfulfilled postcard delivery will be reviewed for refund or alternative fulfilment.
• The €99 proposal fee covers proposal review work. Where applicable, review may begin after payment; once review work has begun, refund may be limited unless required otherwise by law.
• Incorrect or incomplete postal addresses may prevent delivery; after a verified address is submitted, address errors are the supporter’s responsibility unless the project caused the error.
• For EU/UK consumers, any statutory 14-day withdrawal right and any lawful exceptions for requested fulfilment or started review work will be respected where applicable.

Cookies and Tracking

This site uses local browser storage to keep votes, proposals, address selections, privacy choices, and cookie consent on the visitor’s device. Google Analytics is configured but loads only after the visitor clicks Accept in the cookie banner. If the visitor clicks Decline, analytics should not load. The Do Not Sell/Share/GPC opt-out is a separate privacy choice from cookie consent.
